LATE

If you have extraordinary life patterns late things are good.
Late movies, late openings, late night places to buy sugar…
Viva London.
We were very late tho for science museum lates (last weds of month). Animal rights activism… Il tell u later…
But sometimes its good to dip ones furry toe in a pond you might later want to dive into.
That. Is a metaphor.
We really would like to dive into silent discos.
Though it was quite funny to just watch.
The Science Museum id imagine is quite a scary place to be out ones tree. Like when in the distant past we were a bit drunk in the Tate Modern. Like a nightmare.
“What are all these big planes! Im in a war Im in a war!”
We were sucked in by some attendants to make a clock out of paper.
Never again.

SATURDAY NIGHT

Doggy let me do this too…

Tate modern blackouts, little sun, olafur eliasson, poetry and dream.

Solar powered surrealism.*

I liked it best cos you could chat people up asking for their light.

Almost like smoking cool but without the cancer.

Other people seemed “oo its dark” happy but I dont think other people were enjoying it q as much as me.

I was getting in a pickle trying to take shadow pix.

But loving it.

Theyre on the wondrous instagram which has been a life saver.

Now @thedogwhatblogs holds the purse strings…

Notionally free but u had to buy the little lamp for the equivalent of three trips to Haringey Borough FC.

But it beats taking pix of old men.

Love,

Colinxx

I wanted her on the left slightly…

*he asked me to provide more detail. Its like a torch round ur neck right and they turned the lights off in the gallery. Jeesh.

SO

Sometimes a blog or a day starts out as one thing but turns into another.

So naturally there was a meetup. Knitting. Noone home.

So clearly then there was a cafe and some irritatedness.

So then there was a museum (Cuming… Not, disappointingly about the scottish sometime gay star of 90s BBC xmas flick and Heinink staple 'Bernard and the Genie.')

Worth a look. Old shit. Dickens. Hes everywhere. Like Trinidad and Korea. Free.

But dont go to south london on purpose.

So then there was a gallery. Peter Blake at the Fine Art Society. Good to have a curator for art or life. He knows his onions. Nice to have fine art and modern art together. Great. Free.

He's a bit everywhere too. He's 80 or something.

Yes, there were boobs.

So then an evening activity. Or the first one.

We wanted to go on about 'Laughter Yoga' again.

About the importance of play and how the Southbank looks like a grownups playground with wheels, fairs, arts, bright colours and…talking wooden boxes.

But then we saw a film. 'The Imposter.'

Which twisted and turned all over the place.

Like a day. Like a relationship.

It was short too. We like short.

Love,

Harleyxx

Theres someone sodcasting #onthistrain. Sub human scum.

LESS IS MORE

Some galleries are like theme parks.

The Saatchi Gallery has so much stuff and so much of it huge stuff its a bit like that Mr Brainwash thing.

Ok its better than that.

Its all Korean.

But thats like an enormous theme.

Maybe we're trying to say less is more.

Has anyone told my master?

Love,

MOVING ROUND VERY QUICKLY

Installation.

Being there.

This is the joy of art over tv… radio…

Film at the cinema sits in the middle.

Especially @cineworld wood green…

Its interactive… with calling out…

And multi sensory…

With coke showers.

So whether the installation its Hirstian butterflies in the Tate Modern.

Or curiously phallic/orificy stone sculptures http://www.artfirst.co.uk/  (hey we’re sooo over exposed to arty cocks and fannies thats we’re stained with the freudian) …you get to drift around and say you went.

Sometimes you can drift around v quickly.

We eat up gallery clusters.

Today at eastcastle street (ox circus).

Nice COLOUR photos (and the obligatory moody monochrome)…

http://www.paradiserow.com/

It was the young people wot done em.

http://www.barturaward.com/

We also read the surrealists drifted around looking for found objects…

This does not mean… @albiestar… drifting around looking for cash points and finding eighties camp comedians in the buff…

Over exposed indeed…

VIVA LONDON!

Harleyxx

CAGED WOMAN

London 2012 is so passe. The cool kids are already thinking about Rio 2016.

Theyve gone and done an exhibition.

Theyve gone and done it at somerset house.

And theyve gone and done it v well.

Some fab art and shit.

No boobs but where there were boobs and much more besides was in the unlikely setting of the National Gallery. Metamorphosis.

And not just the creamy goddess boobs of the Titian masterpieces…

Oh no, son.

There is caged woman.

Inspired by the creamy boobed goddesses.

Shes in a box and u get to peep.

Or stare (see @albiestar).

I eventually dragged him (hey… Hes had a rough time…) to see the pretty colours of Chris Ofili's trinidadian tributes.

Hey… Aliteration.

Hey… Trinidad is everywhere.

Theyve gone and done it in Kilburn. Tricycle Theatre.

Some fab spoken word and shit. “Attitudinal Metamorphosis” #apparently.

Its all free.

We like free.

It was not short.

But we hotfooted it halfway to squeeze in 'offender' at cineworld wood green.

The film, not the lifestyle choice.

'Visceral' would be a good word.

Lets have visceral then.

5 Colin Stars.

You can relive those dizzy highs here…

 http://www.thedogwhatblogs.com/?p=518

First time we are self referencial.

The dog what blogs gold.

We’re joining the splodges.

We quite enjoyed it this time @tate.

Mainly cos it was quiet.

Revisit migrations: some words: im trying to remember if their were boobs…

Revisit another london: some words: im trying to remember if there was cock…

*****

Here is the new best film ever.

Searching for Sugerman.

We like films about music, photos about music or tv about art.

Joining the splodges,

This was a fairy story that had it all.

And it was only 82 minutes.

Tick,

DEAD BIRD

They thought had no milk in the chess cafe (a cafe!) which was the first panic of the day.

Its ok.

#Turnsout They did.

Games are good for meeting people when u are lonely…

Next week.

Plan D: Bridge…

*****

What goes well with chess?

Large scale holborn sorting office based installation art.

Now we like art in odd places as much as the next blogging staffy.

But this…

(like my owner)…

Was too much.

THAT WAS AN OPINION.

Some words… Must i…

no fanny, no boobs, popartpopartheseemstolikepopart, touristy, graffitti, phone box, david bowie, no cock.

*****

As youll see from our social media we sashayed to Richmond.

No better place for when its sunny.

The boy wonder had to remove a dead bird from my mouth.

That was funny.

Harleyxx

MILDLY INTERESTING

I like to think of myself as the new samuel pepys.

Today we took advantage of the courtauld gallery's monday free time 10-2.

Lovely.

We like free.

Also there was a brief talk.

We like talks.

We like brief.

Go when theres a talk its much better.

Lots of old pix and the drawing exhibition is mildly interesting for 15 minutes.

You get your moneys worth anyway.

You can combine it with an awesome rolling stones exhibition too.

Or origami if youre inclined like the boy wonder @albiestar.

Why not,

Love,

Harleyxx
