SO

Sometimes a blog or a day starts out as one thing but turns into another.

So naturally there was a meetup. Knitting. Noone home.

So clearly then there was a cafe and some irritatedness.

So then there was a museum (Cuming… Not, disappointingly about the scottish sometime gay star of 90s BBC xmas flick and Heinink staple 'Bernard and the Genie.')

Worth a look. Old shit. Dickens. Hes everywhere. Like Trinidad and Korea. Free.

But dont go to south london on purpose.

So then there was a gallery. Peter Blake at the Fine Art Society. Good to have a curator for art or life. He knows his onions. Nice to have fine art and modern art together. Great. Free.

He's a bit everywhere too. He's 80 or something.

Yes, there were boobs.

So then an evening activity. Or the first one.

We wanted to go on about 'Laughter Yoga' again.

About the importance of play and how the Southbank looks like a grownups playground with wheels, fairs, arts, bright colours and…talking wooden boxes.

But then we saw a film. 'The Imposter.'

Which twisted and turned all over the place.

Like a day. Like a relationship.

It was short too. We like short.

Love,

Harleyxx

We didnt have the emotional energy for this blog yday for a number of reasons.

We always protested… “Hornsey is the place to be.”

It, like many things, fell on deaf ears but me and the boywonder @albiestar are often right.

Homsey Town hall itself is interesting… One of the first modernist structures or something.

Its all v art deco.

Anyway its all v art too because it houses @artangel projects.

At the moment in its corridors and council chambers it houses neon signs, memorabilia, posters and 3 films by Yael Bartana. These films are about a Polish jew who begins by calling the diaspora who have left Poland to return and assert there jewishness alongside the polishness in a celebration of now.

I cant really do this amount of history, culture and religion justice.

Im a staffordshire bull terrier.

But if you’re in Hornsey at the weekend-and lets face it who isnt?-

Go.

*****

Sashayed along then to laughter yoga where we got chucked out The Royal Festival Hall…

But you’ve gotta laugh?…

Surely?

Love,

Harleyxx

SMILE THO

We here at thedogwhatblogs.com want to save a post for just this…

…Laughter Yoga.

What a beautiful idea…

Here’s the science bit…

Concentrate…

Apparently the body cannot tell the difference between real laughter and fake laughter.

Laughter Yoga involves little mini bits of acting around laughing…

Ie do a mobile phone laugh, do a scared laugh, do a laugh in another language.

Im not really oversimplifying. Over a session (often in public) the laughter becomes real. Injecting a bit of silly, a bit of play, a bit of random into the awfulness of life can make it bearable at least for a bit.

Which we think is cool.
