CRUSTACEANS

“I taste faint regret but know there’s no going back.”

*****

Well I’ll be!

There’s a lot going on.

#jonrafman @zabludowicz_col

You can:

a) lie in a ball pit.

b) lie on a water bed.

c) sit in a cup board.

d) sit and watch films.

e) do a maze thing (if you’ve booked).

f) look at the art.

Some words: balls, art, computer games, nudity, gunk, bedrooms, crustaceans, ladies of ill repute, sculpture, hot, church.

*****

>>Why are you here?

>>I came to retrace my steps.

I think it was about immersion in a virtual world or something.

I liked it.

Cheers,

Martin xx

THERE’S A LOT OF IT ABOUT

There’s a lot of it about.
Art from people on the margins.
There was some in another place we went and i think another place too.
In the wellcome collection there is an exhibition of art from people with various needs from various agencies in Japan and there is a lot of it thats truly great.
Some of the pots. Bit suspect.
But in the humble (ha!) opinion of @thedogwhatblogs the paintings and drawings are compelling in an i-could-look-at-that-for-bloody-ages kinda way or striking in an oo-thats-big-blocks-of-red-and-black kinda way.
Oh yes I’m back.
Woof.

CHILDREN

Heres a great organisation.

Im not sure i can describe it better than them:

http://woodcraft.org.uk/

Ok il have a go.

Think of the scouts without the militaristic/religious bits.

Et voila!

Anyway children can be all sorts of things but most of all they can be very funny in ways adults cant.

LONDONS FASHIONABLE HORNSEY

In somewhat of a follow up to the world famous openhouse blog post which we are still feeling the waves from now…

I went to a talk by the Hornsey Historical Society.

It was about an old school house.

How it was built and renervated.

This may not sound much.

But its not telly.

And its not radio.

And its not cinema.

And its not art

Its learning.

BORING

We’ve said b4.
Here you can record boring stories.
@camdenartscentre.
Trouble is…
All our stories are interesting.

*****

Meanwhile.
They have some boring steel sculptures and bits of architectural models.
It was nice and peaceful in the gallery and there was one of those reading rooms for blogging.

Next…

Love,

Harleyxx

HEROES AND VILLAINS

So.
Here goes.
We kicked off with Lenin.
There was a funny story of a policeman in a cupboard.
Then there was Cromwell.
Messy business.
Exhumed corpses.
Then there was someone i wasn’t really listening too cos i was playing on my phone.
Then there was John Wilkes who seemed a nice chap.
Womaniser with a big chin.
Love a funny guide.
She’s on the old audioboo.

*****

Then we got a bit distracted because there was a museum about the St John’s ambulance.

DARK CHURCH FLESH

A lot happened today.
Cultural, life…
I suppose the cultural things were 3 galleries.
We don’t do things by halves.
Tho perhaps we should do things in more detail.
Gagosian: Some words: Protuberances (is that a word?)
Hus: Some words: leathery, church, knives
Crypt: Dark, church, flesh
There are lots of galleries called the crypt.
We stumbled on another.
I can’t be bothered to tell u about it.
I can’t be bothered to remember the names of the artists.
http://www.google.co.uk
If you’re that interested.
Im guessing we weren’t.
We also went to Regents Park but couldn’t be bothered with the art thing because we wanted to sit on a bench and look at our pretentious art BOOK.
Bought some sonnets for tomorrow…
Had a nice tea with my nice friend Paul.
Lates at Wellcome… I’m tempted to talk about body parts but I have to be careful.
Sometimes if you do lots of things you are too tired to blog about them properly.
#fancy
Sorry to waste your time.

Harleyxx

PARKS?

Here is a film review.

It was a premiere.

It was in london's fashionable wood green.

It was rosie sparks.

Now first we must set things straight.

We got very confused looking for the film on the internet.

There is another redhead* film kicking around called Ginger Rosa.

At one point in so much confusion we googled Rosa Parks.

“That's not right.”

#inaword close to home.

In some stars: 5.

Love,

Harleyxx

*he's told me to tell u he likes redheads but i told him this is culture not internet dating.
