BLITHERING

“You’re going to love this.”
“I love this.”

Except she didn’t really love it.
She virtually loved it.
Or really loved the virtual.

*****

What’s this staffy blithering on about?
Art, innit.
#Dreamkubrick @somersethouse.
There was a virtual reality bit to answer your question.
I think it was from ‘2001-A Space Odyssey’ but I could find a guidebook.

*****

Still it was very, very good…
Look at this!

And this!

Profound too, innit.

*****

5 Colin Stars.
£12.50 but you don’t at all mind.

Cheers,

Martin X

KITES

“There are no rules in the flying competitions.”

Banned by the taliban, Afghans are now free to fly kites again.

And this is shown sumptuously in a lovely exhibition @museumchildhood.

“The sport has taken on the status of an art form.”

It was moving.

*****

Now just 24 weeks, I want to take my boy kite flying one day.

I also want to show him all the lovely museums and galleries of London.

DOLLS

Things re funny.

The way they work out.

Il give u an example….

You know sometimes a man thinks he is going to run a book group on damon runyons guys and dolls now the man is not necessarilly wrong for thinking that he has the book and is at the place but then your man finds himself in your bfi watching movies about the advertising industry and he thinks well this may even actually be better not that he is thinking the book club would be bad but he is a man who can get easilly disappointed and this pains me so and sometimes it makes me feel a little crook so i cannot say i am not glad the man enjoyed the film

Im a clever staffy i can write like guys and dolls.

Bfi films are expensive but then sometimes they come neatly bookended by middle aged men telling u about them.

If youve got the money or if ur some kind of concession or if uv a nice friend to pay its a good way to watch a film. With the little introduction.

It makes u a bit more interested even if u hav the attention span of a 2013 person.

Love,

Harley xx

CONCENTRATE

To see a film.

In a different environment.

Is a great thing.

Eg remember when we saw oliver twist in the rain.

Well this was dry.

It was in Da Bethnal Green.

There were beanbags.

A confused man came in.

But other than that.

I had the remote control to a big screen.

It was very peaceful.

Details: @uniongallery #foxfur.

Oh it was short.

We like short.

We did concentrate for a whole hour though which is good in 2013.

I say concentrate because it was, like, not dark we tweeted how much we were concentrating and enjoying it.

Harley xx

Cest un film about un homme qui travailles dans une office.

La femme sorti le homme.

Aussi Le homme pretended to be une homosexuale pour garder son traivaille.

Im not sure how this worked im going to have to go on le wikipedia.

Gerard Depardieu!

Il adore le homme mais l'homme n'etais pas vraiment une homosexuale!

Le film fini apres une autre femme faire de la sexe avec l'homme qui n'etais pas gay.

SO

Sometimes a blog or a day starts out as one thing but turns into another.

So naturally there was a meetup. Knitting. Noone home.

So clearly then there was a cafe and some irritatedness.

So then there was a museum (Cuming… Not, disappointingly about the scottish sometime gay star of 90s BBC xmas flick and Heinink staple 'Bernard and the Genie.')

Worth a look. Old shit. Dickens. Hes everywhere. Like Trinidad and Korea. Free.

But dont go to south london on purpose.

So then there was a gallery. Peter Blake at the Fine Art Society. Good to have a curator for art or life. He knows his onions. Nice to have fine art and modern art together. Great. Free.

He's a bit everywhere too. He's 80 or something.

Yes, there were boobs.

So then an evening activity. Or the first one.

We wanted to go on about 'Laughter Yoga' again.

About the importance of play and how the Southbank looks like a grownups playground with wheels, fairs, arts, bright colours and…talking wooden boxes.

But then we saw a film. 'The Imposter.'

Which twisted and turned all over the place.

Like a day. Like a relationship.

It was short too. We like short.

Love,

Harleyxx

Theres someone sodcasting #onthistrain. Sub human scum.

CAGED WOMAN

London 2012 is so passe. The cool kids are already thinking about Rio 2016.

Theyve gone and done an exhibition.

Theyve gone and done it at somerset house.

And theyve gone and done it v well.

Some fab art and shit.

No boobs but where there were boobs and much more besides was in the unlikely setting of the National Gallery. Metamorphosis.

And not just the creamy goddess boobs of the Titian masterpieces…

Oh no, son.

There is caged woman.

Inspired by the creamy boobed goddesses.

Shes in a box and u get to peep.

Or stare (see @albiestar).

I eventually dragged him (hey… Hes had a rough time…) to see the pretty colours of Chris Ofili's trinidadian tributes.

Hey… Aliteration.

Hey… Trinidad is everywhere.

Theyve gone and done it in Kilburn. Tricycle Theatre.

Some fab spoken word and shit. “Attitudinal Metamorphosis” #apparently.

Its all free.

We like free.

It was not short.

But we hotfooted it halfway to squeeze in 'offender' at cineworld wood green.

The film, not the lifestyle choice.

'Visceral' would be a good word.

Lets have visceral then.

5 Colin Stars.

*****

Here is the new best film ever.

Searching for Sugerman.

We like films about music, photos about music or tv about art.

Joining the splodges,

This was a fairy story that had it all.

And it was only 82 minutes.

she only talked thru the reflection of a mirror OR never mind the pollocks

Think of my blog as nothing less than a guide to life itself.

We have branded the hours 4-6 as 'The Culture Shift.'

Today we were very depressed as its the school holidays…

So we thought: “Pollocks…”

Let's go to a toy museum.

And its was the dogs…

Ram packed with old toy based fun well worth 6 pounds and around 45min of life.

Tea Museums. Take note.

*****

From the ikkle to the huge.

We promised u a biting review of @tate #modern tanks.

I was heard to remark: “A unique space that has a lasting impression.”

Seroiusly… It wasnt disappointing.

It was nice sitting in a cave watching an odd korean lady drawing snakes on another lady's neck. Its was a solid 6/10 feeling.

And then… Walking down Hornsey hotspot turnpike lane we got hit by a 'oo that was actually quite cool' 8/10 feeling.

Maybe pay for a show for 10/10 rather than cheapskate the free bits… A film in one little round room and a soundtrack about old ladies in a tiny round room.

You had to be there.

Harleyxx
