DISTURBS

Baby sometimes disturbs my afternoon dognaps (he’s a lot more demanding than me) so I sashayed over to @tate modern for #monahatoum.

“I want the work in the first instance to have a strong formal presence and through the physical experience to activate a psychological and emotional response.”

Don’t we all, love.

There was a cheese grater turned into a bed which I thought was a clever idea.

Reminded me a lot of the old nail iron of Man Ray.

“A world characterised by conflicts and contradictions.”

You’re telling me.

But Staffies are lovers not fighters.

SITTING DOWN

I was caught in a synaptic circus this Sunday afternoon.

It was also dark and I didn’t realise there were seats for a while and when I did I was pleased because my absolute favourite thing is sitting down.

Some words: darkness, synaptic circus, chairs, glass, sopranos, filigree, it’s a balancing act, blowing, shattering, flying.

Not sure I understood it but I liked it.

UNDEAD

There was a lot going on #champagnelife @saatchi_gallery.

Some words: Goats, Minnie Mouse, Sweden, the elderly, cows, body builders, terrorists, pots and pans, dead horses, undead people and a cockatoo.

I mean, that’s essentially it but you should still go because it’s very good.

Especially the huge pictures of the old ladies.

‘An emptying of images of all meaning.’

Or a ‘powerful statement about our contemporary image culture.’

NERVOUS

I’m going to say again about Herald St in Bethnal Green.

They’re are 5 galleries.

All free.

All showing interesting art.

You have to buzz but then it’s like a succession of aladdins caves.

Don’t be nervous.

Visual Art is easy.

My daddy had been showing these in 2D to his kids in class and wishes they could see the 3D.

Because there is so much texture… So much body to them.
