NICE

It’s nice to be led.

It’s nice to be told about things.

It’s nice to wander round London on a warm evening.

They do a little tour of lesser know galleries you see.

Cheers,

HEROES AND VILLAINS

So.
Here goes.
We kicked off with Lenin.
There was a funny story of a policeman in a cupboard.
Then there was Cromwell.
Messy business.
Exhumed corpses.
Then there was someone i wasn’t really listening too cos i was playing on my phone.
Then there was John Wilkes who seemed a nice chap.
Womaniser with a big chin.
Love a funny guide.
She’s on the old audioboo.

*****

Then we got a bit distracted because there was a museum about the St John’s ambulance.

BUTTERFLIES ROCK

In Tate Modern in the big turbine hall there are people who walk up and down.

Now i believe after a while they run around saying things.

We got a bit bored and the shop was ever so close.

Let us kno what they say.

*****

On a return visit what we liked about Damien Hirst is the way the rooms linked up and mishmashed.

Hey, yesterday on Newsnight they said “dippy doo” so we can say mishmashed.

Tell her the butterflies rock.

Let us kno what she says.

Love,

Harleyxx

SHATTERED

Yesterday in the midst of shattered glass and life we traipsed round Bermondsey and Rotherhithe on a one man (and his dogwhatblogs) south london art map tour.

Yes, you’re right, we went on one before with the instagram folk.

We cant be originally cultural every day.

To be briefly vulgar you pay what you afford and then have a lovely time discover hidden gem galleries.

We first went the west lane south gallery and saw robert cary williams haunting/disturbing/marvellous blend of fashion and sculpture ‘Jackets for Hooligans.’

Then to vibe gallery for a collection of works around the concept of the Annulus…

Time to cut and paste…

The Annulus is a term used to describe the space between two concentric cylinders. The inner cylinder is the central core the outer cylinder, the periphery.

One can translate this idea of the space in between, to metaphorically describe the art world. For example we would locate the Damian Hirsts of the world close to the central core and we would locate those often described as outsider artists on the periphery. Our aim is to act as a vehicle with which to navigate the annulus.”

There you go then. Paint tubes on the floor. Like our house. Shards of glass on the floor. Like our house.

The next bit was awesome…

In the amazing v22 space we saw some performance art involving some pendulums…

Okay we’re not selling it again… Heres a vid…

https://vimeo.com/43353818

Ok you have to be there…

It really is a tremendous use of the vastness of the space.

Where else? Finally the curiously cool worlds end space…

Pub stroke gallery. Lovely.

We like stuff about time and the painted over mirrors gave the boy wonder @albiestar a further chance to take a pic of himself… His favourite pastime.

We are so effortlessly cool.

Love,

Harleyxx

EXPRESSIVE

We’ve been up to all sorts. Me and the boy.

Happy, sad, highbrow, lowbrow, geeky, cool. We’ve met some nice people and some not very nice people.

Shall we write a blog post? Yes! I hear you cry…

*****

Friday.

First we had a guided tour of the theatre and performance galleries @v_and_a.

Now there is nothing we like more here @thedogwhatblogs that an informatively, wry tour guide.

Nothing.

There was one. Expressive hand gestures are also a plus.

Recommended.

We then trotted over to International Art Fair to top up on pretentiousness.

There were wooden dogs that cost 10o0s of pounds.

And to think I give myself away for free…

We want to recommend @meetup.

The first meetup we went to was one for @twespians.

I don’t know if you’re aware but my owner @albiestar chairs (sometimes) an amdram group who are very net savvy already, @woodhouseplays.

We learnt not a great deal but I suppose its called networking.

Though in this fair isle we should have decamped to the pub for this.

Which we did for the second meetup.

‘Debating Interesting World Issues’ tho this was conversely tricky in a noisy pub.

Im a spent force for now,

More later,

Love,

Harleyxx
