STARSISH

I like the tube strike.

Leave early.

Pay a cheque in or something.

Go to an ‘off west end’ gallery or something.

Perhaps that’s not the point.

*****

First lets do the exhibition @_thewhitechapel that wasn’t so good…

Corin Sworn (good name)

Some words: big fat brown rod, decanters, mice, robes, fairy lights… You get the picture.

Sort of 3 Colin Starsish.

Now the really good one:

Rivane Neuenschwander.

Some words: Ebola, fear, clowns, guns, knives, thunder, God, fear, children’s clothes.

Sounds good, right?

5 Colin Stars.

Cheers,

Martin xx

TENSION

I really, really liked Barbara Hepworth @tate.

It was nearly as good as Agnes Martin @tate modern.

But this wasn’t nothingness. This was… thingness.

*****

Some words: balls, string, paint, tension, very busy, surgery, women, animals, marble, bronze, wood, walking all the way round things, inside, outside, love.

******

It starts of with a room with lots of different sculptures by different people.

I liked the onyx toad the best.

Then there is a room that is all drawings and paintings of her.

Then it’s things actually by her.

5 Colin Stars.

Cheers,

Martin xx

DONUTS

What’s this then, eh?

(null)

What do you think?

It’s art.

I think I like it.

Don’t know why.

I also think it’s nice to go to a little road in Bethnal Green where there are four cool free gallery’s.

Herald street, innit.

Just check they’re open or you’ll just have to buy donuts from the sainsburys local to ensure its not a wasted trip.

Cheers,

Martin x

CONFUSING

Boxing Day.

Il be honest.

Do xmas again with extra relatives, have an extra argument and then feel a mini depression work wave hit.

In some countries… You dont get that joy.

But maybe a lingering festiveness that can just about carry you to the new year.

*****

Lights are the business at xmas. And if by chance you are in the state of South Carolina go to Aiken 's Hopelands Gardens.

Is there anything nicer than light lined pathways amidst light sculptures?

Is there anything nicer than free?

Is there anything nicer than free cider?

Is there anything nicer than free cookies? (Biscuits)

Except you probably cant because you are probably in the uk so this is a bit pointless.

Oh well.

I had a nice time.

Later: more stuff you cant do.

Cheers,

Martin x

Thats me with Rej. Tho im in America. Confusing…

THERE/NOT THERE

Sometimes an exhibition ticks a lot of boxes for a person.

Duchamp @barbicancentre. Muddy from dogs.

Heres pretension…

Whats interesting about this particular one is that its all really about the interconnectivety of duchamp and these people he influenced and how thy kind of fed off each other.

And played chess.

Some words: boxes, wheels, urinals, nude (descending a staircase), sub cubist boobs etc, pianos, chess, musical boxes, there, not there,

An absence that makes things more complete.

BORING

We’ve said b4.
Here you can record boring stories.
@camdenartscentre.
Trouble is…
All our stories are interesting.

*****

Meanwhile.
They have some boring steel sculptures and bits of architectural models.
It was nice and peaceful in the gallery and there was one of those reading rooms for blogging.

Next…

DARK CHURCH FLESH

A lot happened today.
Cultural, life…
I suppose the cultural things were 3 galleries.
We don’t do things by halves.
Tho perhaps we should do things in more detail.
Gagosian: Some words: Protuberances (is that a word?)
Hus: Some words: leathery, church, knives
Crypt: Dark, church, flesh
There are lots of galleries called the crypt.
We stumbled on another.
I can’t be bothered to tell u about it.
I can’t be bothered to remember the names of the artists.
http://www.google.co.uk
If you’re that interested.
Im guessing we weren’t.
We also went to Regents Park but couldn’t be bothered with the art thing because we wanted to sit on a bench and look at our pretentious art BOOK.
Bought some sonnets for tomorrow…
Had a nice tea with my nice friend Paul.
Lates at Wellcome… I’m tempted to talk about body parts but I have to be careful.
Sometimes if you do lots of things you are too tired to blog about them properly.
#fancy
Sorry to waste your time.

Love,

Harleyxx
