CAN MACHINES THINK?

Can machines think?

Can machines sulk?

He was a war hero.

He cracked the german encryption code which helped us win WW2.

He was gay though so he had to take female hormones or be imprisoned because it was bad then.

The exhibition had lots of old computers which we liked.

And a robot tortoise.

It was a nice small free exhibition which we like.

It was in that bit in the mezzanine on your right as you enter the science museum from exhibition road.

Exhibition road is full of cool green day buskers, bubble men and evil tourists.

The exhibition recieved 5 colin stars and the shop 4.

Love,

Harleyxx

BOX

Humorous incident on overground from Highbury:

Punter 001: Is this train for Crystal Palace?
Punter 002: No, you want the other platform mate.

[punter 001 dismounts]
(albiepanick for albiestar… he thinks… “Oh”)
Announcement: This is a london overground service to Crystal Palace.
Punter 002 and your hero @albiestar: [grin then laugh]
Your hero @albiestar: I wasnt confident enough to correct you!

No you cant have an @audioboo… you’ll take my word for it.

*****

We like things you came ‘nip in and out of’ almost as much as we like things that are free here @thedogwhatblogs.

Not by great forethought, design or destiny we found ourself again this week in london’s glittering ‘Shoreditch.’
There is a place called box park.
It is lots of shops in boxes.
It sells things that are coolio and nice and then you go “how much. No that’s too expensive.”

“The advent of the camera phone… has shifted photography back to the centre of pop culture.”

And allows him to take many pictures of me from various beguiling angles.
I have a very prominent willy.

Anyway, there is an exhibition of camera phone pix and accompanying it some poetry and noisy music.

Im more a Radio 3 man but when in Rome.

We say: Coolio.

“The city clings to you like a bad cologne.”

Amen, brother.

YOUR FRIENDLY DRIVER JASON

We @thedogwhatblogs hate the Piccadilly Line.

Well we did…

*****

We were going to blog about some tedious/pretentious/cool* gallery.

We still might in a bit but twice we’ve encountered a certain London character.

“Your friendly driver Jason.”

Friendly/wonderful/too much* (see also albiestar).

Alleviating the pain of post-leicester squarers and post-heathrowers.

We are bound to under or oversell this gent.

Heres an audioboo.

He wasnt at his best today but basically he gives a lot of additional information about what side the doors open and stuff. He warns you very earnestly about the gaps.

Anyway we like people who try so we will opt for “wonderful.”

*****

Gallery. Matts. Mile End. Walk by the canal. Coots, evil cyclists and relaxation.

Fiona Crisp

Photographer.

Some words: leaves, no cock, john keats, light, shade, crisp, no fanny, eschew, no boobs, water, stourhead, instagrammy, democracy.

*****

After murdering green day at singing and being soothed by our friendly driver Jason’s more dulcet tones we opted for a movie: Storage 24.

With him from Dr Who who’s more multi talented than you think.

Cineworld Wood Green. One of north londons premier entertainment destinations.

Look we did philosophy last week…

Storage 24 then.

Some words: relationships, plane crash, people change, scary, why? i want to know why?, difficult meetings, storage, cellars, monsters

FUCK NEWSNIGHT

Fuck newsnight review.

Fuck radio 4.

Fuck time out.*

This is the essential review of Edvard Munch @tate.

First we want to say how much we enjoy just saying his name.

Have a try now.

So what have we got?

Some words: kisses, melty, vampires, many many boobs, staring, bad instagram photos, insanity, arrogance, death, illness, ghosty, starry night, pissed up brawl with a mate, cine films, the averted eye, no cock and compulsion.

I think that covers it.

Love,

Harleyxx

PS Youve waited all day for that review

*We modelled the opening on Hugh Grant in ‘Four Weddings’ #fyi

IS A JAPANESE BOY

Its not just a catchy title ohhhh no.

Today me and the boy wonder @albiestar have been having a Japanese day.

A triumphant return to the world of origami @oliverscafe fired a spark in his head and thus begun our oriental adventures.

Perhaps we’re #overegging this.

Like we do with marriages and pretentious art exhibitions.

So post-folding we sashayed over to the @serpentinegallery.

Shall we tell you why?

Yoko Ono.

Fuck me I dont know if anyones noticed but shes absolutely billybonkers.

On a scale of 1-10 where my owner is a good seven she’s a clear nine.

Some words: dirt, jigsaws, pubic hair, perspex, army hats, yes John Lennon, blurry things, magrittian apple business, notepads, bums, no frontal penises or fannys.

It was kind of a link with the imagine (ha!) exhibition I didnt write about.

Letting you be the artist blah blah blah.

Being lazy.

There was a wishing tree.

Not wanting to be racist but…

There’s a different set of priorities in the orient. And we dont mean Leyton (ha!).

Is that racist?

Im not sure staffordshire bull terriers can be racist so I will continue…

Don’t worry im nearly finished…

We went to @japancentre which contains all wonder of kooky merriment.

Some of it yummy.

There was a heated debate where a man who was being told off for dripping sushi on some saucy tomes.

It was very funny.

Harleyxx

Catch the high…

So we had a flick through @timeout (we’re trying to be included… shoot for the moon kids…)

So we set off to Wapping. We read something about something called The Wapping Project.

And there… nestling amoungst the depressed teenagers and shit filled cesspools… was a thing of wonder…

We went underground to discover a heavenly host of women squealing like dolphins…

Yes we didnt make something good sound shit for once!

Go!

love,

Harleyxx

Here’s a pic…

Here’s a link… Tho it leaves you none the wiser…

The Wapping Project

THEIR LOSS

The @BritishLibrary.

Fuck iv got a lot of books to read.

And im still struggling with my “Who’s who in the archers.”

Chilled coffeey wifiiiy free laptop parking space.

With similar if you sit with a Write Together @meetup.

Theyre everywhere… Like dr dre headphones or collapsing european economies…

Then, should you fancy, potter down to the ‘Writing Britain’ exhibition.

They say: “Novels, poetry and plays can shape our perceptions and transform our places through imagination.”

Time out says: “…” Similar.

We @thedogwhatblogs say: “A tenner is a lot for an excuse for them to get their dusty books out.” It is interesting and there are headphones and videos. Go if your a concession…

I tried to pretend I was a guide dog declaring: “The boy wonder @albiestar is blind to all reason” but they weren’t impressed.

Their loss.

Love,

Harleyxx

REMOTE

Its been a while.

Quit your whining we’ve been depressed.

So today was board games in Crouch End. Nothing to write home about or indeed nothing to write to the universe about. Pleasant.

We like pleasant.

Yesterday we did the highbrow low brow thing.

Its a theme if you will.

You can make up your mind which is which.

We began learning how to invigilate @thestonespace.

Its a gallery in Leytonstone. Nearly as desirable as Hornsey.

The current exhibition is called ‘Remote Cities’ by Eleanor Bedlow.

Im cutting and pasting cos im lazy…

In ‘Remote Cities’, Bedlow introduces us to an imagined landscape from a surreal world where the Imaginary cities that occupy her mind are formulated into models and then into drawings. For the first time, extracts from these imaginary cities will be shown as sculptures alongside her drawing.
Either through migration or growing up, the places that we remember occupying, change and leave us to become a memory.”

Like they said. Hey, I’m busy actually doing stuff.

Followed it up with… wait for it…

Wait for it…

An Orient win!

I think they actually played well but we having a bit of an internal time of it but at least it wasn’t too cold.

Aaand finally… we sashayed to the Maureen Paley gallery in Bethnal Green for much chillingness…

Stick this is your blogpipe and smoke it… re: Thomas Eggerer exhibition…

In the exhibition, Eggerer continues to develop his interest in portraying groups of people in large spatial expanses. In addition, he explores a more focused study of piano virtuoso Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli, shown at his piano in three new portraits.

Its true.

Thomas Eggerer was born in Munich, Germany and studied painting at the Art Academy in Munich. In the mid-1990s he collaborated with Jochen Klein on a series of projects relating to questions of identity and public space

Damn we were meant to make this blog ‘Easilly digestible with a cup of tea. And a digestive.” Elevator pitch. I can do business.

Anyway you’ve had all you can take.

In other news we’ve been falling apart and doing hospital radio.

Thankyou and goodnight.

Love,

Harleyxx

Nevertheless

Il be brutally honest with you Colin really spoiled the Picasso @tate.

There I was appreciating the sheer breath of Pablo’s influence of uk artists and all he wanted to do was have have a cup of tea in the cafe and buy silly badges and rubbers from the shop.

Nevertheless it was the sheer variety of styles in Picasso’s canon that over whelmed this particular staffy.

Yes i could walk through paint and achieve some of the more avant garde offerings but we geniuses need to stick together.

I give it 4 Harley stars. In summary: plenty of abstract boobs but no dogs.

——-

Thursday evenings is hospital radio. I have a lovely calming manner but am too cute for radio.

Harleyxx
